September 2007 Newsletter

Staffing
Following interview Gail Prince has been appointed Deputy Headteacher with effect from the 29th October, 2007. We wish her well in her new role at the school. We welcome to the school in November, Dawn Flys, who will be joining the Admin Team as Administrative Assistant.

Harvest Festival
Parents, pupils and staff enjoyed our annual Harvest Festival with Reverend John Sheppard as our guest. During this delightful event we had songs from the school choir and various pupils performed solos accompanied by our music teacher Pat.



Personal Accident Insurance scheme—for pupils . Parents wishing to take out cover for their child should contact the school office for an application form.

News from Endeavour Garden Centre
They shall be holding a Christmas Open day on 5th Dec between 11.00 –2.00.
Join them for coffee and mince pies and browse amongst their craft work and festive gifts.

Variety Club

Fund Raising
This term we have been fund raising for two charities. Macmillan Cancer Support and Jeans for Genes Day. We all wore our jeans (for Genes) and raised over £100.00.




World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
was held on 5th October supporting Macmillan Cancer. Chess Class organized a cake sale and raised £95.00. Pupils and staff enjoyed a variety of cakes, including everybody’s favourite chocolate!! Thank you to those of you who contributed towards the event.

We collect used stamps for Guide Dogs for the Blind. If you would like to send us your used stamps, please send them in to the school office.
